Downloading your cap table from Mantle gives you a clean, standardized snapshot you can use for fundraising, audits, or internal modeling—without touching a spreadsheet first. Mantle exports in OCX, the Excel standard built on the Open Cap Table Format (OCF), so your data is easy for law firms, investors, and other tools to read.
What you’re downloading (and why it matters)
OCX (Open Cap Table Excel) is a standardized Excel export of your cap table data, created by the Open Cap Table Coalition. It sits on top of the open‑source Open Cap Table Format (OCF) to make equity data portable across platforms and service providers.
Mantle’s OCX export includes your key cap table tables, plus built‑in formulas for common calculations, so you can quickly slice data, build pro formas, or share precise numbers with your legal and finance teams.
If you are fundraising, preparing for diligence, or moving data into a financial model, OCX is the fastest way to get a complete, structured view out of Mantle.
How to export your current cap table
Go to your cap table in Mantle
From the left-hand sidebar, click on Cap Table.
Export
Click on Export OCX.
Mantle will generate and download an .xlsx file that follows the OCX standard.
Exporting historical snapshots with bookmark dates
Sometimes you need to answer “What did our cap table look like on this specific date?”—for example, at the signing of a term sheet or just before closing a financing.
Choose your snapshot date
In your cap table view, click on the date box (usually marked with Today).
Click Add New Date.
Add a name (e.g. "Pre-Seed") and date then click Save and Apply.
Filter to that date
Use the bookmarked date or Timeline View to view the cap table as of that date.
Confirm that the on-screen numbers match what you expect for that point in time.
Export
With the snapshot date selected, click Export OCX.
How OCX helps during fundraising and diligence
Standard for your law firm
OCX is designed in collaboration with leading law firms, so your counsel can plug the data into their own models without reformatting.
Faster investor workflows
Investors increasingly recognize OCF/OCX, making it easier to share structured cap table data without bespoke exports or screenshots.
Tool-friendly
Because OCX is standardized, other tools and platforms can consume your cap table without you manually mapping every column.
Mantle leans into these systems so you're not locked into a single provider and can collaborate more easily across your ecosystem.
